Virginia Distillery RUM Cask finished Whiskey (Redstone Barrel Society Exclusive)
Excited to announce the arrival of our latest Redstone Barrel Society Whiskey! We again teamed up with Virginia Distillery to bring you yet another rare and unique offering.
Last Month we released our Coffee cask as well as Red wine cask finished highland malt whiskey. This time we took the same whiskey and instead finished it in a Rum barrel. Same whiskey completely different flavor profile.
Their Virginia-Highland Whisky (which is made from 100% malted barley, marrying whisky from Scotland with whisky made on-site in Virginia) was then finished in Rum casks!
The result is great but still real distinct from the last 2 casks that we had finished from them. This scotch style whiskey has a nose full of Caribbean rum spices, notes of baking spices, cinnamon, vanilla and molasses coat your palate leaving a slightly warm and sweet finish. Bottles are $59.99/750ml and available at both Redstone Liquors Locations as well at at our friends at Framingham liquors and Nobscot wine & spirits!
