Redstone Exclusive: Single barrel of 1792 Bourbon!
We are proud to announce the arrival of our single barrel of 1792 bourbon! 1792 commemorates the year that Kentucky became an official state.
The bourbon is produced by Sazerac, the same owners of Buffalo Trace who emphasizes the use of aging techniques and quality ingredients to achieve a profile that is smooth and complex enough for special occasions and yet still at a reasonable price point ($26/750ML). 1792’s aging warehouse sits on a bluff. This allows the warehouse to receive full sun in the summer and sufficient air in the winter, forcing the whiskey in and out of the charred oak casks.
Aged at least 8 years and proofed at 93.7% this whiskey has a good balance of flavors on the nose and palate, with caramel custard and bright fruits such as clementine, golden raisin and orange marmalade up front with compliments of spices such as fresh mint, warming cinnamon and dried vanilla, little bit of green tea, not to mention a hint of toasted marshmallow. The finish consists of a pleasing dried oak which lingers around long enough for you to enjoy until the next sip.
Swing by either our Andover or Stoneham to grab yourself or someone else a bottle or two before this barrel is all gone.
Cheers!
