Lukasz Dynowiak’s contagious passion for Scottish distilling and his refreshingly demystifying approach to fine spirits has over the years made him one of the most recognisable whisky experts. Having started his professional involvement with Scotland’s national drink at The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre in Edinburgh, he subsequently built the most influential whisky blog in the UK, developed a successful drinks consultancy, judged international spirits competitions and wrote for a number of publications, including co-authoring the acclaimed ‘1001 whiskies you must try before you die’. In 2015 Lukasz was appointed Global Brand Ambassador at International Beverage, taking on a unique role with one of the most revered producers of fine spirits in the world. Now, as the head of the Outreach programme, he describes his job as constantly oiling the joint between the conservative world of whisky-making and the modern knowledgeable drinker.
